Dear IDRiM 2019 delegates,
CNRS, UMR ESPACE at Nice Sophia Antipolis University,
together with the French Association for Disaster Risk Reduction (AFPCN) and
their partner organisations, are proud to serve as local host for the 10th
Conference of the International Society for Integrated Disaster Risk
Our vision for this year’s event is to put knowledge
driven approaches for smart territories and organizations at the epicentre of
disaster mitigation, management, and resilience.
The scientific and organizing committees are proud to
present this call for abstracts that demonstrates how poignant and relevant
this field is and the importance of a cross disciplinary approach involving
practitioners, academics, industry and Government.

risks facing France and the European Union, and the resilience initiatives that
were achieved or under development within the time.
The city of Nice is investing in resilience and
sustainability approaches. Nice has been and is exposed to a variety of risks
and has learned from the past. During this conference, we will be travelling
around the city and the region to discuss the innovative approaches developed
by the local communities, practitioners and governments.
